Acura introduced an updated TLX sedan this year, which means that there will be nothing new for the 2019 Acura TLX. Still, that doesn’t mean the luxury mid-size sedan isn’t going to be an interesting option. On the contrary, the carried over model will definitely reach the heyday next year and here is why:
2019 Acura TLX: Performance
The 2019 TLX will offer two engines. The starting option will host a 2.4-liter inline-four unit capable of delivering 206 horsepower. It’s going to be paired exclusively with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic. In case you want something more potent, you can always pick an optional (and more expensive) 3.5-liter V-6, which pumps out 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. This model comes with a smoother 9-speed automatic transmission that sends power to either front- or all-wheel-drive system.
Design and Features
You may say that there are more potent models available for the same amount of money and we agree. Still, the 2019 Acura TLX will show that the performance isn’t that important, as it’s the luxury feeling the premium sedan provides. The vehicle has an awesome cabin loaded with useful features and latest technologies.
The carmaker upgraded a twin-screen infotainment system this year, so now from now on comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Plus, the response speed is boosted by almost 30 percent, which is a lot. The car gets an optional wireless charging system, as well as some cool options, such as Milano leather upholstery, navigation, and HD radio. The impressive array of equipment also includes blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic alert, while the V6 version hosts a gorgeous contrast stitching.
The 2019 Acura TLX can be upgraded with the Advance Package, which makes the sedan even more impressive. Still, the option cost $3,850 extra on the starting price of the V6 model. It includes ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and auto-dimming. Side mirrors become power-folding of course, while there TLX also hosts a heated windshield, a surround-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, remote start, and a wireless phone charging.
You can love or hate Acura’s mid-size sedan, but you can’t say that the 2019 Acura TLX isn’t looking good. The vehicle has received some exterior updates for this year, which made it very attractive. Honda’s premium department has decided to add new grille and headlights in the front. The rear end sports a pair of tweaked taillights and redesigned exhaust. Still, there is a big difference between four-cylinder and V6’s exhaust layout. The topper looks awesome from the rear end due to a bumper and pipes.
The 2019 model is not getting any changes, which means that the price stays the same. Today’s TLX sedan is priced around $34,000, but the price can go up for almost $15,000 if you want the V6 A-spec version.
